Energy
New Mexico relies heavily on oil and gas production for its budget, but is quickly becoming a leader in green energy production. The state has passed ambitious legislation that encourages continued investment in these green resources, making New Mexico a leader in solar, wind, and geothermal energy. It’s said in New Mexico, only half-jokingly, that “whiskey’s for drinking, water’s for fighting.” Carroll Strategies evaluates the impacts of a changing landscape in water regulation and works on behalf of clients to ensure equitable use of the resource and a fair application of regulation.
