PR Tip of the Week
Today we’re introducing a new series, the Carroll Strategies PR Tip of the Week. We’ll be sharing public relations tips to help position you better with clients and grow your business.
If you’re in a crisis, don’t make it worse!
If you are in a crisis situation, and it’s serious, here’s the first rule: don’t make it worse! What that means is that people in a crisis often panic and do things that makes the situation worse. Remember, most crisis situations can be solved, and often your company comes out stronger, so don’t panic. Don’t do anything that will get you in deeper. Just follow a very methodical system to assess the crisis, strategize, and then implement the plan to get you out of it. That’s how you get out of a crisis. Just don’t freak out when it happens and do something that actually makes your crisis harder to get out of.
That’s the PR tip of the week.
